The Chickasaw Chamber Music Festival

 

CCMF PostcardThe American Indian classical music event is first of its kind. The Chickasaw Nation Division of Arts and Humanities brings American Indian classical music to the forefront of Native fine arts in the Chickasaw Chamber Music Festival on June 1-3, 2012, in Ada, Oklahoma.

 

This premiere chamber music celebration combines the diverse talents of Chickasaw classical composer and conductor Jerod Impichchaachaaha' Tate, NAMMY award-winning Yaqui guitarist Gabriel Ayala, Brooklyn-based string quartet SŌ Percussion and the Southwest's leading professional modern chamber music ensemble, Voices of Change.

 

The three-day festival will host nightly concerts at 7:30 p.m. and a Sunday matinee concert at the historic McSwain Theatre in downtown Ada.
